London was of course wonderful with all the beautiful architecture, nice people and free beer. The Grace Kelly exhibition that I looked forward to so much made me dissapointed. The Biggest reason to see the exhibition was to see the famous wedding gown and in all the papers where they wrote about the exhibition there were always a picture of the gown, so of course you think the gown will be there. At the exhibition when we already had looked at the other beautiful dresses we all looked forward to the last (wich wasn't in sight) and we asked in the souveniershop where it was. The answer he gave us was: No, It's not here. I think it's in Philadelphia. A lot of people was dissapointed and checked out another exhibition instead about fashion through the decades that was interesting and beautiful.
One day we checked out Brick lane with all the vintage shops. It was beautiful but I didn't buy anything (the original 40s ang 50s dresses was quite expensive). We didn't have the time to go to Notting Hill this vacation and not Soho either.
The last night in London we decided not to sleep before taking the bus to the airport. We were sitting at The Camden eye when some guys asked us if we wanted to go to a club at the Stables market (Proud Galleries). When we got there a band was playing in the big room, we went through and came to the old stables wich now was rooms that you could reserve. Every room had sofas and a strip pole.
Through another door and we were outside at the terrace where Amanda met her old classmate and his friend. When we were singing Håkan Hellström (a swedish singer) more swedish people joined us and then the rest of the night we danced in the different stables and round the strip poles. When the club closed we just fetched our bags and went to the airport. We were quite tired on the plane home.
Shame about the wedding dress, but the trip sounds like great fun... you have a wonderful blog by the way. Very pretty!
SvaraRaderaYeah the trip was very nice although I didn't see the beautiful dress :) Thank you and welcome to my blog! I love your blog too!
